“The Seminar on Computational Imaging and Precision Medicine” held in our school

On Aug. 7th, the Seminar on Computational Imaging and Precision Medicine (CIPM) was organized by our school in Teaching Building 106, Xianxia campus. The seminar was hosted by associate prof. Xiaoli Zhao. Meantime, Zhijun Fang, Dean of our School, Lei Mao, Part Secretary of School, some teachers and students joint the seminar.

Prof. Anant Madabhushi from Case Western Reserve University in America, as an introduced talent of our university, leader of High Foreign Experts Project of State Administrationof Foreign Experts Affairs, attained this seminar with several research team members. Over 40 researchers and frontline doctors from fast 20 universities and medical institutions, such as Fudan University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), Central South University, Tongji University, Jiangsu Province Hospital, etc, had also been attracted and come to the seminar.

 

 

 

 

Surround the topic of Computational Imaging and Precision Medicine, prof. Madabhushi, Dr. Lin Li, Dr. Cheng Lu, Prof. Jun Xu of NUIST, associate Prof. Yi Guo of Fudan University, and associate Prof. Xiang Liu of Shanghai University Of Engineering Science(SUES) presented on their researches, respectively. Especially, Prof. Madabhushi gave two reports, and explained the profound theories of their recent researches and further prospects in simple language.

The researchers from universities and frontline doctors from medical institutions had discussed about the technical proposals and the real medical cases after each presentation. They expected to push the development of proceeding, analysis, aided detection of computational imagingand precision medicine with new technology. They all thought this seminar is with vivid topics, leading technologies and rich cases, which would bring great help to their investigation and work.

Our school had paid high attention to the organization and opening of this seminar. An organization working team, which was leaded by the Dean and the Party Secretary, had been found before. This team followed up the team affairs, deliberated repeatedly over the seminar schedule, the experts list and venue decoration, etc. The close communications among the experts and workers laid the foundation for the success of this seminar.
