On the evening of September 27, on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, the College of Electronic and Electrical Engineering hosted the "Mid Autumn Night: Gathering Across a Thousand Miles" activity for foreign teachers and overseas students to exchange and experience the traditional culture of the Mid Autumn Festival. Fan Junhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Li Yuewen, Vice President of the College of International Education, Gao Yongbin, Vice President of the College, Zhao Mengying, Vice Secretary, Muzahid, a foreign teacher, and foreign students and some Chinese students from all colleges of the University participated in the activity.

Secretary Fan Junhui pointed out in his speech that foreign teachers and international students are an important part of the rapid development path of the college, and thanked them for coming to work and study at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The current professional directions of the college, such as artificial intelligence and big data, are highly compatible with the industrial development in Shanghai, and there will be great potential for students to make significant progress in their professional studies. China now advocates a community with a shared future for mankind, and especially hopes that the people of the Belt and Road countries will work together to build it. Foreign teacher Muzahid from the college shared his experience of studying and working in China. He said that China is a great country, and Shanghai is a beautiful city. He is fortunate to study and work in China, and encourages international students to experience Chinese culture more and feel its charm.

This event has rich content and a strong festive atmosphere. Foreign teachers and students have gained a deep understanding of the origin and cultural customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and deepened their understanding of Chinese traditional culture through talent shows, Mid Autumn stories, experience in making moon cakes, and tasting moon cakes.
