On the afternoon of July 2nd, theSchool of Electronic and Electrical Engineering held a mentor training lecturein the conference room on the first floor of the Aerospace Building. Allmaster's supervisors of the school participated in this training. This lecturewas given by Vice Dean Zhao Xiaoli, who is in charge of graduate work. Sheprovided a full interpretation of the Degree Law of the People's Republic ofChina, aiming to deepen the understanding and application of the law by thementors and improve the quality of education and teaching in the college.

Dean Zhao elaborated on the sixmain parts of the Degree Law of the People's Republic of China, includinggeneral provisions, degree system, granting qualifications, grantingconditions, granting procedures, and quality assurance. She first provided anoverview of the general provisions, emphasizing the legislative purpose, scopeof application, and basic principles of the Degree Law, laying the foundationfor the subsequent detailed interpretation.

In the section on the degreesystem, Dean Zhao provided a detailed introduction to the composition ofChina's degree system, including the three-level degree system of bachelor's,master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as the corresponding degreeauthorization units and evaluation mechanisms. She pointed out that theimprovement of the degree system not only reflects the country's emphasis ontalent cultivation, but also provides clear career development directions forteachers and students.

Subsequently, Dean Zhao provided anin-depth interpretation of the qualifications and conditions for awarding. Sheemphasized the importance of the academic level and moral character of degreeapplicants, and elaborated on the application requirements and evaluationcriteria for various levels of degrees. She pointed out that mentors shouldfocus on cultivating students' academic literacy and innovation ability whentraining graduate students, ensuring that students have the qualifications andconditions to obtain degrees.

In the awarding process, Dean Zhaoprovided a detailed introduction to the degree application process, as well asthe composition and responsibilities of the evaluation committee. Sheemphasized the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness in theevaluation process to ensure the quality of teaching in the college.

Finally, Dean Zhao gave apresentation on the quality assurance aspect. She introduced the regulationsand requirements on quality assurance in the Degree Law, includingself-assessment by degree granting units, quality supervision, and mechanismsfor handling degree disputes. She emphasized that the college should establisha sound quality assurance system to ensure the authority and credibility ofdegree granting.

This lecture received high praisefrom the attending mentors. Everyone expressed that through Dean Zhao'sin-depth interpretation, they have gained a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the Degree Law of the People's Republic of China, which will help them better implement the spirit and requirements of the law in theirfuture teaching work. At the same time, everyone also expressed their willingness to actively participate in the teaching reform and quality improvement work of the college, and contribute their own strength to thedevelopment of the college.
