On March 5th, the Department ofAutomation held a graduate student competition and public welfare promotionevent at the Modern Transportation Building. The event was hosted by Kan Xiu,the Party Branch Secretary of the Department of Automation, with theparticipation of some Party branch teachers and graduate students.
The event began with a motivationalspeech by Kan Xiu, who outlined the competition projects to be held this year.She provided a comprehensive analysis of the significance, advantages, anddisadvantages of participating in these competitions, emphasizing thatcompetitions are the best way to cultivate and practice research skills.Following this, Fei Qinsong, a student who had participated in the"Graduate Electronic Design Competition" and won the national thirdprize, took the stage to share his personal experience. He talked about thechallenges he faced during the preparation and competition stages, as well asthe insights he gained after overcoming them. His story served as anencouragement for other students interested in participating. Finally, TongYanhui, a faculty member who has guided many competition participants, sharedhis mentoring experiences. From the perspective of an experienced coach, headdressed questions and encouraged graduate students to actively participate,explore their potential, and take the first step with confidence.
This competition mobilization eventhelped the graduate students become familiar with the competition process,details, and key considerations. It also provided them with up-to-dateinformation on graduate student competitions, raising their awareness ofcompetitive opportunities and fostering a competitive mindset.
