To further understand and addressstudents' thoughts, learning, and living conditions, gather their opinions andsuggestions on professional teaching, management, and services, and helpimprove the quality of talent training in the Automation program, the Department of Automation organized a Teacher-Student Symposium on TeachingQuality. The event aimed to solidify the effectiveness of educational work andhelp resolve the difficulties students encounter in their studies. On theafternoon of May 7, 2024, the symposium was held, where faculty members engagedin face-to-face communication with student representatives. The meeting was attendedby Kan Xiu, the Director of the Department of Automation, Li Yuyuan, the DeputySecretary of the Department, and Deputy Directors Tong Yanhui, Liu Ye, and LiHaibo.
During the meeting, the studentsactively spoke up, discussing a wide range of topics, from the practicality ofthe professional curriculum to how to balance theoretical learning withpractical operations, and how to plan their future career paths. Thediscussions were both broad and profound. In response to the students'enthusiasm, the teachers patiently answered questions, offering professionaladvice and sharing their own academic experiences and insights, encouragingstudents to explore boldly and innovate fearlessly.
At the end of the symposium,Professor Kan Xiu delivered a concluding speech, expressing gratitude for theactive participation and valuable insights from both the faculty and students.She emphasized that the Department of Automation will continue to supportteacher-student communication, constantly exploring educational models thatadapt to the development of the times, and working hard to cultivate morehigh-quality automation talents with international perspectives and innovativeabilities.
