The finals of the inauguralNational Digital Teaching Competition were held from January 19 to 21, 2024, atBeijing Information Science and Technology University. After intensecompetition in the provincial and qualifying rounds, the work by Professor ChenBei's team from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at ShanghaiUniversity of Engineering Science advanced to the finals in the universityengineering category, ultimately winning the Grand Prize.
The competition featured 827 entries from 341 institutions across 30 provinces(municipalities, autonomous regions), the Macao Special Administrative Region,and regions such as the United Kingdom, with a total of 2,627 participantsshowcasing their teaching skills and talent. The review committee comprisededucational technology and subject experts from prestigious universities, includingTsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, JilinUniversity, and Capital Normal University, with Professor Zhao Guodong fromPeking University serving as the chair. The finals adopted a format of livepresentations and Q&A sessions, with judges scoring and announcing resultson the spot.
During the competition, a "Teaching Digitalization Seminar" was also held,where renowned domestic information technology experts shared academicachievements, and schools with successful digital teaching practices sharedtheir experiences.
Thecompetition aimed to promote the integration of information technology,internet technology, and artificial intelligence into teaching, enhanceteachers' overall capabilities, improve teaching effectiveness, and advanceeducational reform. Moving forward, the team plans to further refine andenhance the course content in line with practical teaching needs, striving toachieve the goals of promoting reform and improving teaching throughcompetition, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of classroom education.
